How to change opacity in your designs

Designers often use opacity to create a sense of depth and design by translating the effects of transparency with the intended outcome of making two or more surfaces or objects simultaneously visible.

You can change the opacity of an image or shape on your design too.

First click on the element you want to change, then expand the art board editor by clicking “More”.

From here, click on appearance and then vary the opacity levels.

You can use the slider or type in a number.

And there you have it. Sign up for Simplified.co to see how Simplified can help you play around with the artistic elements of your design.
